Conference registration

The WIMS'11 registration fees* are as follows:

*Money Transfers within Norway in Norwegian Kroner. Please use your registration day's exchange rate.
** This workshop fee is to be paid by each workshop speaker before 30th  March. We require that every paper is covered by a registration, and this will be checked before adding the workshop paper in the conference proceedings. Therefore, please make sure that your paper is covered by a registration no later than March 30, 2011!

Special Registration Fee* for Local (Sognefjorden region) Participants (Registration Deadline 18.05.2011)

The workshop registration includes admission to the conference on 27th May 2011, which includes all sessions, coffee breaks, one lunch, and copy of the  proceedings. If workshop speaker/attendee wants to attend all three days of the conference then s/he must pay the Regular conference fee.

The full (Regular) registration includes admission to all sessions, coffee breaks, three lunches, welcome reception, conference banquet and a copy of the  
proceedings.

The student (Regular) registration includes admission to all sessions, coffee breaks, three lunches, welcome reception and conference banquet. Students have to send a proof within 3 days after registration to wims11 @ vestforsk.no or by fax to +47 947 63 727.


One Workshop or Conference registration will cover presentation of one paper. Each additional presented paper associated with the same registration will be subject to an additional fee of 80 Euro or 250 Euro respectively.

Extra conference banquet tickets are subject to an additional fee of 125 Euro.

There is no special program for accompanied persons. However, if the accompanied person would like to participate to the conference lunches, banquet and half day excursion, they are welcome. The cost for the three lunches and banquet  is 250 EUR and it must be paid by cash on site in Sogndal at the WIMS'11 registration desk. Particularly, we would be grateful to receive an email if there are accompanied persons who would like to attend the lunches and banquet.

All payment must be in Euro. The Registration must be accompanied with payment of the corresponding registration fee. For payment by Bank  cheque or wire transfer the registration will be completed only after receiving the copy of the payment sent by email to email.

You can pay the conference registration fee either by bank/wire transfer or by international bank cheque.

Please take into account that most banks apply costs for international transfers. These costs should be paid by the registrant.

Confirmation of registration
Registration will be confirmed after well receipt of FULL payment.
Student registration forms must also be accompanied by a signed letter from the head of department attesting to their full-time student status. Formal receipt will be issued to the participants at the venue.

Letter of Invitation
If you require a Letter of Invitation to attend this event, you must select "Need Visa Invitation Letter" on the on-line Registration form and provide your passport number. Letters of Invitation are usually only required by foreigners who must obtain a VISA in order to attend the conference. All persons who require a Letter of Invitation to attend the conference must be registered and paid in full on or before February 15, 2011. Letters of Invitation will only be issued to the registrant and only after the registration is paid in full. The letter of invitation issued by WIMS'11 is not a commitment to provide any financial support nor does it guarantee a visa.

Cancellation policy:
All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing. The regisration fee paid to cover the accepted paper(s) will not be refunded in any circumstances. Cancellations notified on or before April 15, 2011 will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.  No refund will be issued to registered participants who cancel on or after April 16, 2011.  Registration fee refunds can only be issued after the conference has ended.

We recommend that all participants take out a personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
