News from Norwegian Projects

The International Conference on Web Intelligence, Mining and Semantics (WIMS'11) will provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Web technology,  Web intelligence, Web mining, Web semantics and related fields.

The WIMS'11 program will feature several invited talks, peer-reviewed contributed talks, tutorials, workshops  and posters. However, in addition, as an innovation for WIMS’11, some time will be set aside for special session -- "News from Norwegian Projects".

This session at WIMS'11 offers Norwegian projects (especially VERDIKT) with an exceptional opportunity to introduce themselves to the wider research community and explore possible collaborations with other projects (and international researchers) in a focused and beneficial way.

Norwegian project teams are invited to submit their project abstracts.  WIMS'11 participants are welcome to attend the presentation session and hear what Norwegian projects have to offer the community.

This session will be divided into two parts: a presentation part open to all in which all participating projects present themselves; and an interaction part restricted to participating projects and attendees for one-on-one meetings.

Each project will have no more than 4 slides and 10 minutes to present itself to the attendees focusing on remarkable practical aspects: what are the technologies that are developed, what interesting results can be made available, what are the possibilities that exist to build on top of the results? The aim is to be brief and straight, focusing on the specific collaboration and re-use possibilities that exist.

After the presentations, there will be an interaction session, where every participating project team will have an opportunity to exchange information and share ideas for knowledge and technology transfer, and collaborations with other attendees.

How to submit
The length of
'News from Norwegian Projects' abstract is  2 pages in ACM format.
